ABOUT US
We are the Seventh-day Adventist Church of Heerlen
A Christian religious community where everyone is welcome. Every Saturday morning we organize two regular activities in our church. First, we study the Bible together. We have an open conversation about how we understand the scriptures and how we can apply the knowledge we gain in this way in our lives. Secondly, there is worship, including prayer, music and song, and meditation. In addition to these two regular activities, which start at 10:00 am and 11:00 am respectively (but which have now been canceled due to the corona virus), there is much more to experience with us. Programs are regularly organized for each age and interest group.
This website provides further information about who we are and what we believe. Furthermore, we give an overview of the range of activities, both organized by us and by our central organization or other groups within the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Our motivation for what we do lies in the fact that we believe and experience that there is a God who makes life worth living, and who also gives us a beautiful future perspective. We do not want to keep that within the walls of our building, but would rather open the door to give more and more people the opportunity to discover that added value.

Worship is a very important part of who we are at Heerlen Seventh day Adventist church. It provides us with opportunities to come
together with others to worship God.
This time of singing, praying and studying the bible together draws us closer to God and to one another.
We encourage, uplift and share with one another. This time allows us to enjoy the sabbath and prepare us for the new week ahead.
Seventh-day Adventist Belief
In God the Father, in Jesus Christ his Son and in the Holy Spirit.
That Jesus Christ is our personal Savior; that he became man, died on the cross for
the sins of the world, and was raised from the dead by God; that He has ascended to heaven, sitting at the right hand of God as our Mediator, from where He will soon come to judge the living and the dead.
In the resurrection of the dead and eternal life.
That God gives us strength to do His will as new-born creatures, as revealed in the Holy Scriptures and expressed in particular in the Ten Commandments.
That we are a temple of the Holy Spirit and called to live a clean life out of love for God and our neighbor.
That God has personally called us to build up his church and spread the gospel.
